Solephia Rest is the memorial ground of Solephia, the online Christian community of Godhunting Resources. Here a family can create an online memorial for someone they love: a small stone memorial on quiet green hills, with the person's portrait over the fireplace, their life story, their photographs and a guest book where friends leave tributes.

“There remains a Sabbath Rest for God's people.” Hebrews 4:9

A Memorial Website with Two Rooms

Every memorial has two rooms, so a family can share what it wishes to share and keep the rest among those closest to them.

The main room is open to every Citizen of Solephia. The main portrait hangs over the fireplace; click it to read the life story and dates. An open album holds the photographs the family chose for this room, each with its caption, and a guest book beside the flowers holds the tributes the family has chosen to show.

The Friends and Family Room is open only to the people the family admits. It holds a scrapbook of family photographs and a family journal where those admitted write to one another and to the one they remember. Families often treasure photographs they would not share with everyone, such as a child in the bath. Those belong here.

Daffodils or Roses

Each memorial is created with daffodils or with roses, which grow at the door and stand in a vase inside. A family may also have the person's name and years carved on the stone tablet above the arch. Every memorial is listed in the directory of the grounds by name and memorial number, and the family can share the five-digit memorial number so friends can go straight to it.

Creating a Memorial

Creating a memorial takes a few simple steps: choose daffodils or roses, give the person's name and years, add the main portrait and any other photographs, write the life story, and invite family and friends. Only the main portrait is required. Afterward the family can change photographs, the life story and the flowers at any time.

Who Can Create a Memorial

Solephia Rest is for Citizens of Solephia. Anyone may join Solephia free as a Visitor, and Citizenship is a privilege received in several ways, among them reading, learning and serving inside the wall. You don't have to be a Christian. How to Become a Citizen explains the ways.

What It Costs

There is no charge in money. A memorial is kept up each year with Solis, which members earn by taking part in Solephia.
