Trademarks and Permissions

1. Why This Page Exists

Godhunting Resources owns the names, marks, and designs listed on this page, and the copyrights in the material on this site. We list them here so that no one can say they did not know. This page is linked from the foot of every page on godhunting.org. Wherever one of these marks appears on the site, in our publications, or in our messages, it is claimed as stated here, whether or not the ® or ™ symbol is printed beside it.

We are a nonprofit organization, and we do not license our marks for profit. We protect them because people who mean harm could use a trusted name to build a false website, a false course, or a false appeal for money. If you see one of our names used in a way that looks wrong, please tell us (section 8).

2. Who Owns the Marks

Every mark on this page is owned by Godhunting Resources, a Washington nonprofit corporation and 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (UBI 605 742 670), which appears in United States Patent and Trademark Office records as Godhunting Resources, God-Hunting Resources, and God-hunting Resources. LXON™ Publishing Company, LXON™ Christian Research & Publishing, Godhunter Academy®, and Solephia™ are names under which Godhunting Resources does its work; they are not separate companies.

3. Registered Marks

These marks are registered on the Principal Register of the United States Patent and Trademark Office. The symbol ® may be used with them.

6. Using Our Names Fairly

You may use our names to refer to us truthfully: in a review, an article, a citation, a sermon, a lecture, or a conversation about our work. You may not use any of our marks, or anything close enough to them to be mistaken for them, as the name of a website, domain, social-media account, app, course, church, business, or publication; to suggest that we sponsor, endorse, or are affiliated with anything we have not approved in writing; or in any way likely to confuse anyone about who is speaking. No one may award, advertise, or claim the designation Certified Godhunter™ except as awarded by Godhunting Resources. We will enforce our rights against imitation sites and against any use that misleads people about who we are.

7. Copyright

Everything on this site is protected by copyright, and the copyright belongs to Godhunting Resources unless the page or document says otherwise. That includes the text of our pages, courses, lessons, quizzes, newsletters, and help pages; the pictures and drawings, including pictures made with the help of artificial intelligence under our direction; the answers of Prof. Dr. Nemo LXON®; our software, page designs, and code; and our databases and compilations, including the selection, arrangement, numbering, and indexing of the works in the LXON™ library. © Godhunting Resources. All rights reserved, to the fullest extent the law allows.

Public-domain books in LXON editions

Many books in our library are old enough that their original text is in the public domain. The text itself is free for anyone, and we claim no right in it. The LXON™ edition of such a book is another matter. Each edition carries a copyright page that says what is new in it. Typically: “This edition was published in [year] by LXON™ Publishing Company, a division of Godhunting Resources®. The original text of this work is in the public domain. Preface pages, summaries, new titles and chapter headings, any new footnotes, translations, corrections, unique formatting, and layout © [year] by LXON™ Publishing Company, a division of Godhunting Resources®. All rights reserved.” What that notice claims is ours, and it may not be copied without permission.

Documents given without restriction

Some documents on the site are given to the public without restriction. Each of them says so on the document itself. A document that does not say so is not free for copying, even if it can be downloaded.

Material from others

Some material on the site belongs to others and is used by permission or as the law allows; it is marked with its source, and its owner’s rights are not ours to give.

8. Permissions, Licenses, and Reports

We license our material liberally and usually at no charge, especially to teachers, churches, students, and other nonprofits, and we are glad to hear from anyone who wants to quote, reprint, translate, or teach from what we publish. Ask us before you do it; tell us what you want to use, where, and for how long, and we will answer in writing.

Our publishing company handles every request to use what we publish. Call the number above and follow the prompts, or use the form below. Either way, tell us who you are, what you want to use, and how, and we will answer in writing. The same number and form take reports of a misuse of our names, of an infringement of someone else’s rights on our site, and of an error in one of our editions.

If a credible distribution system is established, we may accept manuscripts for digital publication.

9. Copyright Agent

Godhunting Resources has designated an agent under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512(c)) to receive notices of claimed copyright infringement on godhunting.org and lxon.org (Registration No. DMCA-1080970).

Copyright Agent, Godhunting Resources
18225 8th Place West, Lynnwood, Washington 98037-4901
Telephone · Email

A notice must contain the information required by 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3). We remove material promptly when properly notified, and we end the membership of anyone who repeatedly infringes the rights of others.

10. Changes to This Page

We file new applications as our work grows, and this page will change as marks are registered, applied for, or added. The date at the top shows when it was last changed. The current version of this page is the one that controls.
