What We’re Building
Every year more than two million new books are published, while the older books that shaped Christian thought sit scanned and half forgotten in libraries around the world. Godhunting Resources is building a Christian research center on the internet: a place that gathers as much knowledge about God as we can reach and organizes it so that a scholar, a student, a pastor, or a skeptic can find what the sources actually say. Isaiah wrote that “the earth will be filled with the knowledge of God as waters cover the ocean.” We want to be part of that project.
Proverbs tells us to seek wisdom as men seek silver, so we use the language of mining. Much of what is known about God has never been written down, and some of it is being written now and is not yet published. That knowledge is out of our reach for now, though it is not lost. What has already been written is our reserve. We mine the part of it we can reach at low cost, make it into clean, readable books, and keep it in storage. From there it comes out through LXON as books, publications, and the LXON Research Portal. Scholars who hold the copyright to their own work may add it through the LXON Copyright Pool. Their work goes into storage with the rest, and they share in the royalties when it is used.
A search engine hands you a list of links to open one at a time. LXON gives you a research trail: the passages that bear on your question, the books they come from, and what to read next. Not a shortcut around scholarship. A shortcut into scholarship.

To reach that goal, we need a community of students and scholars, and we are building one through Godhunter Academy, the Solephia Library, and the LXON Research Portal. To keep our services free, or nearly free, we have to keep our costs low. One way we do that is to offer service opportunities to people anywhere on the internet who want to help us add to our vault of knowledge. We take a typical nonprofit staff job or scholarly job and break it into small slices, and we automate each slice so that it can be done by someone who is not a specialist. We hope you will want to help.

How Our Website Is Designed
A large part of our website is open to anyone, with no password required. We call these the pages outside the wall, and you are reading one of them now. The wall is our password: behind it stands the city of Solephia, and to enter it you log in. The pages outside the wall show you what is here. The city behind the wall is where the work is done.
Solephia’s name is made of three words: sol, light for the soul; aletheia, truth; and sophia, wisdom. Because a password is required to enter Solephia, the only way in is to become a member. The good news is that membership is free. Inside, you will find many things to do, from seeing the library from its front door to visiting the Cathedral of Solephia. When you log in, you arrive at your Account Hub. Its twelve rooms hold everything that is yours: the member directory and your own profile, your circles, your library, your courses, your subscriptions, LXON, your bank account of Solis, your awards, your service, your security, and a map of the city. Beyond the Hub lie the districts of Solephia, where members study, work, and meet.
