Bring Your Books to the LXON® Research Portal
Scholars, pastors and students use LXON to research questions about God, the Bible and the Church. When LXON answers, it reads the books in its library and cites them to the paragraph. We invite publishers and copyright holders to add their books, to be read, cited, bought, and paid for.
LXON is a research service of Godhunting Resources, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, published through its division LXON Publishing Company. Volunteers republish public-domain Christian classics for the library; licensed works from living authors and active publishers bring it up to date.
Two ways to work with us
A share of the Royalty Pool
For books in print and works you actively sell.
- You license your books to LXON for research use. You keep every right to publish and sell them.
- A fixed amount from every Tier 1 search, our deepest search, which quotes copyrighted works at length, goes into the Royalty Pool.
- The pool is divided each quarter among all participating holders in proportion to their points: five points for each published book and one for each unpublished file, with more for a work by agreement.
- Each quarter you receive a statement showing the searches, the pool, your points and your share, and how often each of your books was read and quoted. You may audit our records.
A digital edition for a dormant book
For books out of print or no longer selling.
- You send us legible page images of the book. You need not convert or correct the text.
- We return a corrected digital text you can publish as an ebook, a print-on-demand edition or part of a collection, at no cash cost to you.
- In return, LXON receives a royalty-free license to use the book for research in the portal.
- We promise not to release our own standalone edition for ten years, so you have the market to yourself.

Every quotation and summary names the author, title and publisher. LXON then refers the researcher to the sources you choose to sell the book: your own store, a bookseller, or both. LXON takes no referral fee or share of those sales. LXON never publishes or sells a licensed book as a standalone edition.
