CURRENT EVENTS
February 1, 2026
This website is new, and we have a long way to go. We will keep you posted on current developments. Completing enough of the website to create some enthusiasm for the project is our highest priority. With our limited staff, we do not know how long it will take because each step has its own challenges. We are actively recruiting volunteers.
In January we started our website project over at a new hosting service. John Tollefsen has been doing the work alone with AI help and now we have a version in minimalist form that we can show people. This page only discusses a few of the many projects we have going on at this time. If you have any ideas or want to discuss this with us please feel free to send email.
An outline of the projects available is on a separate page. A summary of current activities follows:
Development of the Certified GodhunterSM Credential
The planned certification track consists of 14 courses leading to a certification in Godhunting (CGH). The courses are: Introduction to Hunting for God, the Resurrection of Jesus, Classical Theism, Deism, Pantheism, Panentheism, Polytheism, Henotheism, Monism, Process Theism, Moral (Ethical) Theism, Dualism, Animism, and Atheism-Agnosticism. Each course will have 10 classes, with up to 4 lessons per class. Each lesson will include a podcast covering much of the material. We expect to have an app available so that courses can be taken on cell phones while listening to the podcasts. There will be supplemental reading material for each lesson, including a textbook that covers all 10 classes (14 textbooks total). The certification in the course materials will be available free of charge to those who complete the courses in the scheduled order and earn a passing grade in each course. This amounts to a “scholarship”, which we value at over $2200.
Current progress:
We have a draft outline of all 14 textbooks. The textbook for the hunting for God course is scheduled to be completed by the end of April 2026. By that time, we should have worked out the details and may be able to produce one textbook per month. That means the full course track is scheduled to be available in June 2027. We are very hopeful that we will find shortcuts, including volunteers to help, so that we can reach this goal.
We were swamped in January with other priorities, so we only had a few hours to work on the first textbook in the series. With all of the projects in February, estimated completion of the first textbook is April 2026.
Discussion groups
Current progress:
We expect discussion groups to be formed in two ways: first, as part of member circles, and second, as developed by visiting scholars. We are recruiting scholars to join us. Website development delayed us so no progress was made in January.
We have purchased the software, but do not expect to open discussion groups until significant membership occurs and members express interest.
Daily Bible
For more than 20 years, we have been developing a read through the Bible program which now consists of all 365 days in separate files. Since we can automate the transformation into 365 posts, we believe that we can create a daily Bible subscription service by the end of February. We have decided to make this a priority.
Library content
Part of the ability to share are image is to create some Library content. we have added Dewey decimal structure into our library page. We are working on deepening the structure and adding content. We expect that some of our authors will allow us to place their books and papers in our library. For various reasons, we currently intend to use flip books. The first example is on the main library page at the bottom. If there is time in February we may add more.
