The planned certification track consists of 14 courses leading to a certification in Godhunting (CGH). The courses are: Introduction to Hunting for God, the Resurrection of Jesus, Classical Theism, Deism, Pantheism, Panentheism, Polytheism, Henotheism, Monism, Process Theism, Moral (Ethical) Theism, Dualism, Animism, and Atheism-Agnosticism. Each course will have 10 classes, with up to 4 lessons per class. Each lesson will include a podcast covering much of the material. We expect to have an app available so that courses can be taken on cell phones while listening to the podcasts. There will be supplemental reading material for each lesson, including a textbook that covers all 10 classes (14 textbooks total). The certification in the course materials will be available free of charge to those who complete the courses in the scheduled order and earn a passing grade in each course. This amounts to a “scholarship”, which we value at over $2200.
We have a draft outline of all 14 textbooks. The textbook for the hunting for God course is scheduled to be completed by the end of April 2026. By that time, we should have worked out the details and may be able to produce one textbook per month. That means the full course track is scheduled to be available in June 2027. We are very hopeful that we will find shortcuts, including volunteers to help, so that we can reach this goal. As we know more, this page will be updated (at least monthly).
We expect discussion groups to be formed in two ways: first, as part of member circles, and second, as developed by visiting scholars. We are recruiting scholars to join us.
We have purchased the software, but do not expect to open discussion groups until significant membership occurs and members express interest.
We plan to create e-books from out-of-print public-domain material. A significant amount of time is needed to proofread each book, correct OCR errors, and format it for e-pub. We are looking into various alternative means of protecting our work. Currently, the thought is to create flipbooks that will reside on a private bookshelf page for each user.
We have nearly completed Agnosticism, The Croall Lecture for 1887-88, by Robert Flint, 1903, originally published by William Blackwood and Sons, 602 pages.
Podcasts are under development. We will need 40 or more for our Certified GodhuntingSM classes.
A few test podcasts have been done. Eventually, we expect to take full control of each podcast by writing each script and choosing each voice.
We anticipate that scholars who assist us will provide subscription material, such as a daily Bible reading newsletter. We are exploring various alternative means of providing access to these materials.
We have purchased and installed the software needed, but consider this a lower priority than other work like recruiting scholars,
The John Warwick Montgomery Memorial Library is being built. Eventually, we expect to have a large number of resources available for download. We have significant teaching materials that will be provided at no charge. The concept is that a Bible teacher will have PowerPoint slides and other teaching material that have been used by other teachers. Hopefully, this will give new teachers a head start on their classroom materials. We also have some material and books which authors have generously allowed us to offer free of charge. We are exploring various delivery and catalog systems.
We expect to have a first draft of the Library and some resources by the end of the month.
We expect to host events using our facilities. Users will be able to subscribe to advance notice.
This is a low priority at this time. It should develop organically, as we recruit members, volunteers, and scholars.
We are not trying to re-create everything that others have done. There are many high-quality Christian resources on the Internet. We want to feature these websites through Web links and other means. This will be an ongoing process that should never end. The Web links page will be found in our Library catalog.
We expect to make some progress by the end of the month. If we can recruit significant numbers of volunteers, the web links page may grow quickly.
We intend to give our website users the opportunity to listen to music from our playlist while they take courses and visit our site.
We have three or four royalty-free MP3 files that can be played for those who want to hear them. We hope to have a “sticky player” system installed by the end of the month. We are working on developing other sources for royalty-free music.
We are in the process of adding other resources like videos. Keep watching this post-for future developments.
